I'm going on the road to edit the short fiction film Buzkashi Boys. I don't usually work on fiction, but this project is very promising.

For Documentary from the Mid-Atlantic Region, the film pulls in its biggest award yet!  I'm proud to have been a part.

Continuing its streak of successes, the film was just nominated for an Emmy in the documentary category for the Mid Atlantic Region.

The hour-long exploration of the U.S.'s white supremacist movement has been selected for representation by a top distributor.

PBS's World TV broadcasts the controversial film nationwide tonight.

I've relocated from New York to the San Francisco Bay area... glad to be bringing my work and life back to the wild west.

Tonight's episode, "Haul or High Water," an hour-long Dan Rather Reports special program, follows independent trucker Don Wagner as he struggles to keep his business alive.

I edited the final segment of tonight's episode of "Dan Rather Reports" on HDNet, a discussion with the show's reporters on Afghanistan. More to come from this direction...

Joe Wilson & Dean Hamer got another Sundance Institute Grant to create a feature-length version of "Out in the Silence". I'll be proudly doing the re-edit.

"Out in the Silence" is screening at LA's renowned Hammer Museum as part of Sundance's Work-In-Progress series. It has also been selected for "The Good Pitch" at the 2009 Silverdocs Film Festival.

"See What I'm Saying," which I did some additional editing on, just won Best Feature Doc at the Philadelphia Film Festival... and it was only a sneak preview... more good things to come?

Mark Bangerter's one-man show, "A New Vision," will open at the Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts in Mount Carmel, Utah on January 17th.  Congratulations, Dad!

The project I'm currently editing, "Out in the Silence," just received one of just twenty documentary grants awarded by the Sundance Documentary Fund.  

War Child will receive the prestigious IDA/ABCNEWS VideoSource Award for best use of archival news footage at the IDA awards on Dec. 5.  Also, I got an TIVA-DC Peer Award for editing the movie.

New website, new trailer, and DVDs available to buy! The film's officially rated PG-13, so watch out, kids.   Also, a few more festival wins: Best Documentary at the Bergen International Film Festival, as well as the Audience Choice at Maui International Film Festival!

Cine Manifest is available now from Docurama, which is a really great distributor for documentaries of all sorts. The movie's not for everyone, but I'm damn proud of it.   You can rent it on Netflix.

I'm back at home after spending six weeks in Los Angeles working on See What I'm Saying, a documentary about four deaf entertainers: a comedian, a singer, an actor, and my personal favorite, a rock drummer. I also had a chance to visit Oslo, Norway, where my brother, Jack Bangerter, graduated with an MFA from the Norwegian National Academy. Congratulations!

Super-exciting news for the film -- note, this is the audience favorite for the entire festival, not just for documentaries. I went to the Tribeca premiere -- it was a blast. Thanks to all my friends who showed up to see it!

War Child had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in front of a standing-room-only crowd of over 600 people. The audience loved it -- Emmanuel and Karim received a standing ovation. If you go to Berlin, go to Der Goldene Hahn for dinner.
